Love Costco. I do all my shopping at Costco. HOWEVER, their tire center feels like a completely different world, like it’s not even part of Costco. No decorum, no professionalism, no explanation - nothing. Talking to Rudy is like talking to a brick wall. My dog probably gives me more information/answers than he does.

I recently went to the Costco Tire Center multiple times and had a very disappointing experience. The first time, I was told my back tire was unrepairable, so I ended up buying two new tires. Then my front right tire started losing air, so I came back again. Once again, they told me it was unrepairable. I kindly asked if they could switch it with one of my old back tires that I had saved, but they said they couldn’t because it was not a Costco tire. I understand if there are rules, but the way they spoke to me felt rude and prideful. My family has been very loyal to Costco. My dad, whose account I am under, spends over $100,000 a year at Costco because he buys things for his business. He even has three memberships. We are good customers, and I expected better service and more respect.Overall, I left feeling disappointed and not valued as a customer.

This year I’ve had an unexpectedly challenging run with my tires, including two separate towing incidents caused by nails in my tires. I’m not sure if it’s due to all the rough roads and construction lately, but as a loyal Costco customer, I’ve had to visit the tire center more than I anticipated. I honestly was not looking forward to it because in past experiences, I felt the Costco Tire Center did not have enough front desk staff to handle the high demand for tire support. The waits were long, and the staff often seemed stretched thin. However, both times this year I was fortunate to be helped by Rocky at the front desk, and he completely changed my experience. He is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, kind, and solution oriented. Thanks to him, both of my tire repair situations were resolved quickly and efficiently. He also manages long lines with ease and professionalism, even during busy times. I do think Costco could benefit from having two people at registration during peak hours to better support the demand, but Rocky truly handles it like a pro. I bought tires and booked a tire change appointment for 3 days after the staff told us the tires would come in (all done in person). I called 2 days before to confirm the appointment only to arrive to find out the tires had yet to arrive. I found it to be extremely irritable that no one decided to notify me, especially considering that we can't track the delivery online. Call before you go.

I ordered my tires online, it said to wait for them to let me know my tires are in. Got the text, made my appointment. When I got there, the counter guy didn’t see my name. It was not linked to my order. Weird…. He said you must tell me that you ordered online. 🙄 Well, that’s the problem, their system should link the order to my membership account. My appointment was 11:30am, they weren’t done until 1:00pm. Expect to wait 1 1/2 to 2+ even though you have an appointment. On the upside, the guys in the counter/garage is always friendly and helpful on any questions that may have.
